A young girl, Claire, and her father come to terms with a grave illness. Claire finds comfort in her best friends, a pet dog named. A decision must be made regarding treatment for the illness and the prospects are bleak. While Claire's father tries to comfort his daughter, he discovers that she has strength to cope with the situation, perhaps, even more strength than him. Claire is a coming of age story about the things that matter most, love, life, and death.
